RYA Personal Watercraft Proficiency Course and Jet Ski Experience

The RYA Jet Ski (PWC) course is becoming an essential qualification for this ever exciting watersport.

Our courses are run to an extremely high standard, yet in a relaxed environment making learning enjoyable and easy. Our highly qualified instructors have experience within all aspects of the powered watersports industry. Their coaching skills include Jet Ski (PWC), power boating, wakeboarding, waterskiing and barefoot waterskiing.

Based on a private freshwater lake we guarantee high training standards and strict compliance to RYA training syllabus.

This day course caters for all Jet Skiers from the absolute novice to the experienced who wishes to gain the certificate enabling you to use a ski abroad, on restricted waters or simply to save money on insurance.

Action Watersports can provide a Jet Ski (PWC) for participants who do not own one and is the ideal introduction to this fantastic adrenalin pumped watersport. This enables you to gain the certificate before you purchase, assess the types of Jet skis available to make your purchase decision easier or those who just want to give it a go.

The course covers both practical and theory syllabus:

On the day once you are familiar with the Jet skis you spend time on the water covering launching, mooring, slow speed control, capsize and reboard, emergency stops, high speed maneuvering, jet skiing in a group, following a planned route, recognizing potential collisions, towing a PWC. The afternoon slalom exercise is great fun; this highlights how the craft can handle with passengers at different speeds.

In the classroom subjects covered include: Personal equipment, safety equipment, collision avoidance, orientation at sea including subjects such as charts, buoys, tides and compass use, weather forecasts, emergency equipment, courtesy to other water users and the environment.

Course Fees

RYA PWC Certificate of Competence (1 day): £130
RYA PWC Certificate of Competence 1 to 1 training: £200

**If you are NOT a member of the RYA then an additional £12 is payable to the RYA to cover the cost of your RYA PWC certificate**

PWC Hire

Action Watersports offer a PWC for hire during RYA PWC Training

PWC Hire Fee: £85 per day (Fuel included)
